What a year it’s been! We’ve jumped out of airplanes, organised a helicopter open day and baked Halloween treats, all with the aim of raising as much money as possible for an organisation that is so very close to our hearts. An organisation which does amazing things every day and one that is incredibly similar to that which TPSG’s very own Steve Fox had to rely on during a serious a medical emergency just a couple of years ago and to which he now owes his life.
As with many Air Ambulance services, the Wiltshire Air Ambulance is a charity that relies purely on donations to keep running in order to save lives. It is not funded directly by the Government and receives no National Lottery grants. It costs £3.75 million a year to keep the air ambulance flying, that’s just over a whopping £10,000 per day. It may seem a small drop in the ocean, but every pound really does count towards keeping this vital service running.
And so, it is with great pleasure that we can announce that we were able to raise a grand total of £1,263.19 for the WAA this year.
A huge thank you from us to all our staff, local businesses, friends, family and associates for their generous donations at each of these fundraising events and on behalf of the WAA who are so grateful for your support and generosity.
We’ll be hoping to get a picture very soon of us handing the cheque over to their team. Work will then start on our fundraising plans for 2020. Watch this space!
